Sarili Private Villa

Shamwari Sarili Villa has a peaceful setting on the private Shamwari Game Reserve in South Africa’s malaria-free Eastern Cape. Perched on a bluff above the Bushman’s River, Sarili Villa has wonderful views across the reserve.

Accommodation & Facilities
Shamwari Sarili Villa has six air-conditioned rooms, all with river views, en-suite bathrooms, minibars, private balconies, and a coffee machine. The house has plenty of inside and outside space for parties of up to 12 guests, with inside and outside dining, a large lounge with a fireplace, a bar, two pools, a large viewing deck, a gym, and a spa. Families are well catered for with a separate playroom for children and a shallow part of one of the pools.

Wildlife & Activities
Shamwari is a superb re-wilding success story and consists of 25,000 hectares of beautiful and fertile former farmland that is now an excellent and varied wildlife habitat, with a wonderful mix of savannah plains, woodland, big hills, and rivers. Shamwari’s wildlife includes black and white rhino, elephant, hippo, lion, leopard, buffalo, hyena, cheetah, giraffe, zebra and much more. Sarili Villa offers wildlife drives in open safari vehicles, walking safaris with expert guides, boat cruises on the Bushman’s River, and stargazing. For an in-depth understanding of conservation work, visits to the Born Free Cat Sanctuary, Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre, and the Vulpro Shamwari vulture research centre can also be arranged.
